Berkeley Bioengineering
Co-Op Program

The Co-Op program matches employers with advanced undergraduate students for extended internships of a summer plus one semester (Spring or Fall). Our program is designed for jobs of interest to future bioengineers, although not necessarily just bioengineering majors. Of interest are jobs in medical devices, healthcare, bio- and health-related computing and networking, imaging, business and policy, in addition to classic biotech and pharmaceutical industries.

How it works:

• Contact our department to list your job
• We’ll recruit and screen students from across UC Berkeley majors
• Interview and choose your student
• Hire them as an employee for one semester plus the summer, June - December
• Students are guaranteed readmission to Berkeley and administrative support through the application, withdrawal and readmission process
• Students must return to school for at least one semester after employment
• The Co-Op program is currently only offering Summer/Fall internships

Costs:

• Free to list a co-op job
• $500 to hire a student
